On the buyer’s side Negotiating since 2002, online since 2020 New, CPO, and lease, nationwide $100 to start, 1% when you buy. How It Works

Found the car? What happens after you Send the Car Link

We read every listing ourselves, usually the same day.

1

We check the numbers

Same day, usually

Incentives and rebates on that model, how long the car has been on the lot, what comparable cars are selling for, and whether the quote carries a market adjustment or pre-installed add-ons.

2

We tell you whether there is room

A short call

If the deal is already strong, we will say so. If there is room, and there usually is, the $100 retainer opens the file. The 1% success fee comes later, and only when you buy.

3

We negotiate that car, and its competitors

Our negotiators, with the managers

The dealer with your car is not the only one with that car. Competing offers from other stores, including out of state, are what move the price.

4

You get the out-the-door price in writing

Then you sign

Itemized, including your trade-in and every fee. Check it in the out-the-door price checker if you like.

Questions about negotiating a car you already found

Can someone negotiate a car I already found?

Yes. That is what this page is for. A specific listing is the fastest possible start, because the research has a target from the first minute.

Can you negotiate a car price online or over email?

Almost all of it happens by phone and email, directly with sales and general managers. Written quotes are better than verbal ones, because they can be compared and held to.

Can you negotiate after a deposit?

Often, yes. A deposit holds the car. It does not fix the price or the fees. Send the paperwork you signed, and we will tell you what is still open.

Is this dealer quote a good deal?

Paste it in the form above. We will look at the vehicle price, the fees, the add-ons, and the rate, and tell you what we see. You can also try the numbers yourself in the out-the-door price checker.

What if it is a lease quote?

Send it. Lease quotes hide more than purchase quotes, because the monthly payment hides the selling price and the money factor. See car lease negotiation.

Rather talk than type?

Call us and read us the quote, seven days a week. Or have us find the car if you are still deciding.
